Fixed Wire Testing
Fixed wire testing, also referred to as Periodic Testing or Periodic Examination ensure electrical appliances and any associated wiring have been installed correctly. Offices are typically required to be inspected around every five years; however, it is not uncommon for larger organisations to regularly test different sections of their premises at any one time to spread the cost.
Our expert team of electrical engineers are qualified to perform fixed wire testing for all organisations.
The process will include the following:
EXAMINATION AND TESTING
HAZARDS
ADVISE
SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE
This is to be completed by a trained and qualified electrical engineer and is done so to check for overloaded circuits, faults with power outlets, and other potential shock or fire hazards. Once completed, an Electrical Installation Condition Report or EICR is provided, showing the examination has been carried out according to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
