If you’re taking on commercial space, you’ll often hear it described as ‘Cat A’ or ‘Cat B’. Here’s what those actually mean.
What is a Cat A fit-out?
A Cat A fit-out is the basic, ready-to-occupy finish a landlord usually provides – things like raised floors, suspended ceilings, basic lighting and air conditioning. It’s essentially a blank canvas.
What is a Cat B fit-out?
A Cat B fit-out is where the space becomes yours: partitioned offices and meeting rooms, kitchens and breakout areas, branding, flooring, joinery and the finishing touches that suit how your business works.
Where we come in
Most of our office projects are Cat B – taking a plain space and turning it into somewhere people actually want to work. If your unit is still at Cat A stage, we can take it from there. See fit-out or refurbishment for more.
If you’d like a clear, itemised price for your project, call us on 01530 267106 or get in touch to arrange a free site survey.
