Design and fit of packaging area and forklift truck battery bay for Eddie Stobart

Client

Eddie Stobart

Location

Coalville, Leicestershire

Relationship

Since 2009

Eddie Stobart, who run logistics for Nestlé in Coalville, required us to create a packaging area which was separated from the warehouse. They also needed an enclosure where forklift trucks could recharge their batteries. For this project, we were successful in a tendering process, enabling us to carry out the works from start to completion.

Project Parameters

  • Installation at least occupied times to cause minimum disruption
  • Half site shut down to install new power cabling
  • Phased programme to segregate areas
  • Project in accordance with hygiene standards and building regulations
  • Project completion within 6 weeks

Beforehand, products were being packed in an empty space, and there was no area for the forklift trucks to recharge their batteries safely.

By project completion the new packing area and battery bay were completely segregated from the warehouse to create two designated areas to meet clients’ needs.

We implemented a cost effective industrial steel partition to separate the packaging area from the rest of the premises. We also introduced new Armco barriers to protect the newly created partitions. We installed a hand wash station with knee-operated taps, and hygienic wall cladding behind the wash troughs.

Nestlé opened the facility and are now looking at replicating the project on another site.

Services Provided

  • Electrical works
  • Industrial steel screens
  • Mesh partitioning
  • Hand wash facilities
  • Hygienic wall cladding
  • New LED light fittings & electrical works
  • Signage
  • Plastic strip curtains

I am extremely impressed with the work undertaken by Company Image. We required half the site to be shut down while installation was taking place, and the team did this in an efficient and professional nature. We are so pleased with the results that we are now looking to replicate the works onto another of our sites.
