Our client, the UK leader in sweeper hire and specialist vehicles, required an informal break out space which was separate from the working environment. This would encourage staff to take time out for breaks, in a comfortable space away from their desks. The aim was to improve staff performance and boost the culture of the business and team.
Project Parameters
The space allocated was an unused part of the building. We conducted a complete strip-out of the existing offices and worked alongside the companyâs Design Director to create a brand-new area for team members.
The client envisaged a âquirkyâ feel to the space. We laid down artificial grass, placed giant chess pieces on the ceiling (designed to look like a chess board), created a larger modern kitchen area and added a pool table and games consoles.
